About the Factory

Art. Creativity. Fitness. Retail. Food. Community.

Located along the Pinellas Trail in the Warehouse Arts District, The Factory St. Pete is a historical 8 building, interconnected industrial campus where artists, fitness enthusiasts and the community come together.  None of this would exist without the original railroad built in the 1880s, The Orange Belt Railway.

The Trail is not just a bike path. It is the skeleton of the railroad network that helped create modern Pinellas County; a direct contributor to the existence of The Factory St Pete, The Warehouse Arts District, and even Downtown St Pete.

Before the Factory was what it is today, it was a globally respected window tint manufacturer among other long lost tenants. Clues to its former manufacturing glory are found throughout the Factory if you look. From old pneumatic piping in every building that once controlled the heavy machines, an old gantry crane in Building 8, to railroad tracks under the parking lot and even one of the buildings.  There’s also an abandoned air compressor visible in the ceiling, but its up to you to find it.  Plan your visit today!
